@ayachan That's absolutely why I still maintain some presence on Twitter. I wouldn't mind leaving the platform itself, but I value those social connections/friends too much to leave them.

I know many people here feel disdainful about birdsite, Facebook and other places. Many folks highly favour the Fediverse over these places, myself included.

However, almost all of us spent time on Facebook, birdsite and other communities. This brings up an interesting question about losing our social connections in those places when we move here.

There's something WRONG with your industry and your social connections if you prefer sociopaths and narcissists as opposed to people who care about each other and what each other needs.

Is it any wonder that the IT and tech fields are so full of abuse and toxicity? I think NOT.
