Welcome to Michigan, where we act civil for most months but when it comes time to light off fireworks then everyone suddenly discovers the Majesty of fire.
@craigmaloney I'm in West Michigan, and somewhere on a hill across the street, people in a neighborhood gather and rain fireworks down on us every July 4 or thereabouts. They don't know they're doing it, but that doesn't matter. It is totally unnecessarily, and our cats hate it, as do the critters in the woods. Such a stupid tradition.
