Someone here, long forgot who, said that trans cops were "class traitors."
It occurred to me this is literally saying there are occupations trans people can't or shouldn't do, simply because it offends their sense of aesthetics.
Which is bullshit, because too many people in this world have been denied occupations or recognition for their work because of someone's sense of aesthetics.
You might not like the job, but all minorities should be allowed to do whatever they want.
If you say shit like "only white cis het middle class males can be cops without being class traitors" you are literally promoting the status quo. You can scream All Cops Are Bastards but no one is going to abolish the police anytime soon. We need more minorities in the police force, not less. That's realpolitik.
