@Kryten @evilscientistca A tripod definitely helps but if you are set on staying as cheap as possible you can survive without. To find objects to observe download a sky map app on a smartphone/tablet or hit up a library for astronomy guides.
@kirkman Feedbin.com is a better RSS platform than Google Reader ever was. I'm really happy with it.
@chr @profcarroll Does federated really involve any follows? I had content on my federated timeline even before following anyone. I think federated is just all public posts on servers that agree to connect to each other.
@_phantasmagoria Amaroq is pretty good on iOS.
