I created a second account on social.tchncs.de because that instance is connected to more than twice as many instances as octodon.social, and I wanted to see if the federated timelines looked any different. (And they do.)
But my two accounts can't follow each other? My social.tchncs.de supposedly is following my octodon.social account, but my posts aren't showing up at all there. And when I try to follow my social.tchncs.de account from my octdon.social account, I get an error page. :confused:
@Ashdroid maybe the octodon instance is not connected or blocks the other one? Also, the federal timeline shows all homelines from all users of the instance - means if you follow a user from another instance he will also popup at the federal homeline #complicated 😅
@Ashdroid don't mind me, but I'm gonna follow people such as yourself in the hope of figuring out how this all works 😉

@Ashdroid Yeah, I saw that when trying to follow some MeFites on octodon. But not all! Very odd.
I had more success searching for people and adding them than going to their profile page and using the "Remote Follow" button.
And I never even got a notification that my second account followed my first.
Hopefully just lag issues?
