its fun that on twitter there are
retweets : a feature that boosts a certain post onto the followers' timelines
likes : a feature that is supposed to represent liking a post, except it also works like retweets but has a chance of not retweeting
you can go into someone's profile and disable retweets, so surely you would only see their posts and nothing they retweet?
of course not
you will still see everything they liked, which is basically unreliable retweets that you can't hide
see, here we have
boosts (guaranteed to boost a certain post onto the followers' timelines)
favorites (tells the author that you liked the post. has no chance of working like boosts)
its so simple, why the heck can't twitter just do That
the whole fucking content algorithm thing is so annoying and bad
