I’m so glad for all the #autistic people who speak out on social media. It helps me as a teacher to know what to look for and how to be inclusive and understanding of students on the spectrum.

Like knowing non-verbal kids aren’t being contrary means I can assist them rather than scold them.

It isn’t easy to research #autism on my own given the vast amount of misinformation out there. So hearing real people’s experiences, needs, and criticisms is invaluable for my students’ wellbeing.
