My thumbnail is tearing across the nail bed. The expensive nail repair material I got to fix it keeps failing. It's not flexible enough.

Little patches of cloth tape work fine, though. The tape is flexible, sturdy, waterproof and readily available at the schools where I work.

The only downside is that it gets gummed up with lint and cat hair within a day and needs replacing.

But at least it doesn't come off at random!
